SERG (the Software Engineering Research Group) is a forum for research and collaboration amongst staff in the Computer Science Department working in the software engineering and applications areas.
SERG comprises more than a dozen academic staff and undertakes research across a broad range of software engineering-related sub-disciplines, including, but not limited to: Software Tools and Techniques, Software Quality, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, Scientific and Medical Visualization, Database Systems, and Computer Science Education. Our members publish extensively in top international software engineering journals and conferences. SERG has a large number of thesis students undertaking research supervised by group members.
SERG also works closely with the Center for Software Innovation in undertaking consultancy activities and industry liaison. Members of SERG have considerable experience in research projects performed for and with industry partners. Please contact us if you think we can help you research and develop an idea, technique, or product. We have a well equipped usability laboratory available for industry use.
